Can’t go out but looking to get your hands wet? We have just the opportunity! Join us and WWF Netherlands for our second crowdfunding event to raise funds for dam removals and sturgeon reintroductions. This virtual event will take place on the 16th of May as a part of the World Fish Migration Day kickoff celebrations.

We hope you will join us from 3:45 PM – 5:15 PM CEST to learn everything about the dam removals we are raising funds for and hear from the project managers themselves. Plus, we will hear special presentations from project managers leading current removal project that we have already crowdfunded!

To get a better sense of the projects we will be covering, please check out their campaign sites!

Chainley Burn Weir removal: https://crowdfunding.wnf.nl/project/chainley-burn-weir

There is an exciting opportunity to remove two more barriers if we manage to fund this one! This would mean opening up the river from the Chainley Burn Weir to the source!

Three dams in Ukraine: https://crowdfunding.wnf.nl/project/three-dams-in-ukraine

There has been recent spottings of new bear cubs in the area and what a lovely present to give them by opening up the river and allowing salmon to once again run further upstream! Let’s remove these obsolete splash dams in the Cheremosh River basin!

The reintroduction of Sturgeons: https://crowdfunding.wnf.nl/project/release-the-sturgeons

One of the main reasons we love to open up rivers is for the improvement and protection of migratory fish populations. During this webinar, you will have the chance to directly contribute to the reintroduction of sturgeon into a native river.

We hope you will join us during this very special webinar and support the project teams that are working to make Europe wilder.

For the webinar, we have a maximum capacity of 500 persons and we already have over 250 have already registered. Please register as soon as possible to secure your spot!

Together we let rivers flow again.
