MAVA foundation’s grants
The MAVA foundationsupports conservation that benefits people and nature through four formal programs in the Mediterranean, Coastal West Africa,and Switzerland. Thanks to this grant (which has recently ended), there are several projects underway within their action plan “Ensuring integrated management of river basins”, for example:
- Halting hydropower developments in the Mediterranean Basin. Which works to protect Iberian and Balkan rivers.
- Reviving Douro Basin. Which tries to prevent the implementation of a large dam programme in Portugal through campaigning and legal action
