On October 8, 2025, Europe will come together to celebrate Dam Removal Day. This day is marked by dozens of events across the continent to raise awareness about the importance of free-flowing rivers, highlight the removal of obsolete barriers, and showcase the growing Dam Removal Europe movement.
As part of the celebrations, Dam Removal Europe will host the Dam Removal Day Café, streaming live on the DRE YouTube channel from 15:00 to 16:00 CET.
This one-hour event will feature live interviews with celebrations across Europe, sharing inspiring stories of river restoration, barrier removals, and community action. Celebrate with us as we capture the excitement of Dam Removal Day and the growing freedom of Europe’s rivers.
